NO b sound with cette adapter?

I just got a sub and sub-amp installed in my car. The head unit is a pioneer keh2030. Radio works fine and dandy but when i go to plug in my sansa clip mp3 player, the sub does absolutely no work. The sub amplifier connects to the headunit via RCA, the rest of the speakers are powered from the other headubit wires. Any suggestions?
