Can chromosomal abnormalities cause low HCG?

I was just wondering if chromosomal abnormalities can cause lower levels of HCG? I had a missed miscarriage last year (found out at 12 weeks that my baby died at 10.5 weeks). With that pregnancy I had no morning sickness, no tiredness and only sore . This pregnancy I have morning sickness pretty much all day, and entire are sore and I am extremely tired all the time. My HCG levels at 7 weeks were 77,000 (great!). I was just wondering if maybe in my last pregnancy I had no symptoms because my HCG levels were low due to something being wrong with the baby? I never had my levels checked with that one, but now I am wondering if the reason I didn't feel pregnant was because the abnormalities with the baby caused lower hormone levels.
