How can i fix a feather lite weedeater it will start but shuts of, it runs a idle only i put new spark plug?

new gas and oil. it is less then a year old can it be the carburetor? if i pure fuel in the carburetor it will run like it should then it will shut off when fuel is gone thanks for your help
